What are your experiences selecting a gift for a wedding?
Sometimes the gift register can be helpful particularly if you don’t know the couple very well, they are interstate or overseas or if they already live together and you just don’t have a clue if they already have more than one toaster?
For me, I’m a bit of rebel when it comes to buying from the gift register; I like the challenge of looking for something that makes me think of the couple and also to share my passions such as original art.
So, are you looking for a unique wedding gift? A one-off? You want to rebel against the wedding register list?

This week a new client offered her daughter to choose an original artwork from our current exhibition, Seasons. She set a budget and her daughter and husband-to-be chose a piece a few days later which will now be displayed at their wedding reception. Your thoughts? Mine: ….nice! I particularly liked the fact that the mother allowed the couple to make the choice themselves given art tastes are so personal particularly from a couple point of view. In that what you may enjoy as an individual may be slightly different in a couple as you consider both people’s tastes.
